A few weeks ago I was at Delias and saw an amazing toggle coat and fell in love. I know I should not get attached to material objects, but this one was so perfect and so me. I kept thinking about it and started searching online for a cheaper one. I found a bunch of options and love them all (even though some are way more expensive than the one I fell in love with). Linmar Gardens

Today has been a very gloomy, rainy day in the Twin Cities. I decided to find inspiration in more happy places which brought me back to my vacation to Galena, IL. I mentioned my love of historical towns but never shared any information on the amazing garden tour I went on. My boyfriend and I went to Linmar Gardens for a romantic tour through the garden followed by a picnic, which included an amazing French version of a tuna salad sandwich. More on that

Inspiration Everywhere I Look

I am a small town girl, born and raised, but I chose to go to college in the Twin Cities. It wasn’t the easiest adjustment moving here two years ago, but the area my school is in is absolutely gorgeous, which made the transition a little less hard. I went for a walk with my boyfriend this week to look at all the amazing houses along historic Summit Avenue. It’s about the only place around here that has houses with what I would consider real yards. There are tons of different architectural styles on every block and all sorts of people walking (but usually jogging) along the sidewalks. It’s one of my favorite places to be because it is a little more like home with the trees and nice people, but still doesn’t compare to farm

Inspiration Board: Elegant Chic

I went to TJ Maxx this weekend with my roommates to check out all the cheap goodies. I am always amazed with that store every time I step through the door. I always find at least one fantastic item and I hardly ever walk out empty handed. The prices are so good even I can afford to shop there! It drives me crazy, though, when I see things that I absolutely love (and become obsessed with) but I cannot buy because either I don’t need them, I don’t have a place for them, or they are still out of my price range.
